The above products are my final ancillary tasks. I believe that they work well together with the film, particularly the radio trailer as it contains audio from the film. In order to make our film sound as though it is of the mystery genre, we added mysterious and a little odd music behind the radio trailer, and the audio we selected from the short film were the lines "she's dead" and "you need to give her it back". I also believe that our tagline in the trailer, that being ' Have you returned what isn't yours', works extremely well with the narrative of the short film, even if it may be a little unclear at the beginning. Additionally, I tried to present the idea of mystery with my film poster by using an still from the end scene of the bracelet on the grave stone and a close up of the stalkers eyes faded through the gravestone. I though that this worked well, as it is part of the twist in the narrative. I had also incorporated colours that I thought would be linked with the mystery genre, and the white text over the dark background and image stands out very well overall.
Below are the drafts for my film poster. I had first taken a series of shots at different angles of the gravestone in order to see what image would work the best as a poster. After deciding which images to keep, I then edited them using Photoshop, which was mainly selecting a filter causing the image to not be as light as it was, cutting out the scenery behind the gravestone and using the blur tool to blur the name on the gravestone.
Overall I think that the combination of my ancillaries with my short film work very well together as a way of promoting the film, as the poster and radio trailer certainly are suitable for the intended target audience. The ancillaries also promote the genre of the film effectively.
